The Asset Allocation section breaks down portfolio holdings by the following asset classes: stocks; bonds; cash; not classified; and other, which includes convertible bonds, preferred stocks, and additional security types. It also shows the percentage of long, short, and net positions within each asset class.
How to Use It
The Asset Allocation section is a useful feature for analyzing your client's complete portfolio based on the underlying holdings of every managed investment product it contains, as well as any individual securities held in the portfolio. It's one component that helps you present a synopsis of the portfolio's diversification, or lack thereof, during client reviews.
