Good News. Great Joy.

This year, Investors Trust joined the global movement #GivingTuesday, celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

One of the best things about the Holiday Season is there is no shortage of opportunities to help those in need. We chose to participate in Operation Christmas Child. A project created by Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. The mission is to provide children around the world with shoe-boxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, clothing and school supplies.

The shoe-boxes are shipped outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine and disease. In the hands of local churches in over 100 countries, every gift-filled shoe-box is a powerful tool for transforming the lives of over 146 million children and their families. We are proud to add one more project to our Investors Trust Responsibility program and have our team come together again to lend a helping hand.

On Friday, November 17th, our Miami office hosted A Shoe Box Packing Party, where each employee packed 2 shoe-boxes; one for a girl and one for a boy of ages 5 to 9. We selected a variety of items for each gender such as hairbrushes, underwear, coloring books, body wipes, jump ropes and more. Also, we added hand written notes with a special message for each kid. It was a great opportunity for our employees to come together for a wonderful cause. We thank everyone who participated! And, we are proud to help spread hope and happiness to children around the world this holiday season.
